The zip file already has the correct paths set out; simply unzip all of the contents (except the file_id.diz and meteor.jpg files right at the end) to C:\Program files\Microsoft games\FS2000, and everything should go to the correct place. A new folder will be created in FS2000\Aircraft called 'Meteor F8'; the gauges will go to FS2000\Gauges. Easy huh?

This is a Meteor F8 of the RAF, in the colours of 501 sqn RAF Filton. The model was produced using FS Design Studio (my first effort), and the aircraft uses Learjet default sounds. The .air file is heavily modified from Aaron Swindle's original MB339 air file, via Paolo Zamparo, and the panel is from mete8pn1 by Dave Haskell. Both unwitting collaborators have given permission for their work to be used, and I extend my heartiest thanks to them for their work. The air file reflects an aircraft at maximum all-up weight, with belly tank and underwing tanks. If you want to change the data to reduce the amount of fuel, use FDE; the changes are straight-forward, but don't forget to change the stall speed (currently 103 knots at max weight clean).

Feel free to tamper with the textures, but let me have a copy if you want to post them on a public website; they might be better than mine! Remember not to change the name of the aircraft folder; if you change it from 'Meteor F8' then the textures will not know the new path and you will have a very blank aircraft! If any FSDS Pro user would like a copy of the .fsc files, they are available at www.freeflightdesign.com.

This project was produced with guidance and help from Massimo Taccoli; my thanks to Max for his encouragedment and also to my other erstwhile and unwitting collaborators listed above, who I have never met, but without whom this project would not have been possible.
